What does card deactivation mean?

Modified on Fri, 9 Aug at 4:39 PM

The first important thing to note is that you are not at fault and your money is not at risk.

This happens when you’re a payment cardholder and Paynetics decided to close your payment card account as it is required to so to comply with any law or regulation or a requirement by a regulatory authority or a Card Organisation.

This will take place after the stipulated period from the date of the notification email you received. You can still use your card(s) for purchases during this period if there’s a positive balance, but after the stipulated period, your card(s) will be permanently deactivated.

In the meantime, no new funds (top-ups) are permitted on the cards, effective immediately. This is to help ensure every customer is aware of the discontinuation of this programme
