What Does Card Deactivation Mean?
Card deactivation happens when Paynetics decides to close your payment card account. This may occur due to regulatory requirements or instructions from a Card Organisation or other relevant authorities.
Important:
You are not at fault for this.
Your money is safe and will remain available until the deactivation process is completed.
Once you receive the notification email, you will have a set period to continue using your card(s)—as long as there’s a positive balance. After this period, the card(s) will be permanently deactivated.
During the notice period:
No new funds (top-ups) can be added to your card(s) — effective immediately.
You can still use your card(s) for purchases, but only until the deactivation date.
What to do if your card is deactivated:
Once the deactivation date passes, your card(s) will no longer work for transactions. If you have any remaining balance, you can transfer or withdraw it before the card is deactivated. Please refer to the instructions in your notification email for more information.
Timeline for Deactivation
You will have 30 days from the date of the notification email to use your card(s). After that, the card(s) will be permanently deactivated.
